Unfortunately, life is not paradise and never will be. It is not its purpose. You cannot simply stop and rejoice in everything you have. For one simple reason, if you do that, then somebody who is hungrier will come and get that from you. This has happened in history time and time again. People are meant to be hungry for a reason and that is humanity itself. We need to be hungry, so the human race will keep progressing. I would have to say life is a definite 1(no more), but all the other grades must come from your experiences in the world and how you rate yourself when dealing with them. For example, there is nothing wrong with wanting a long vacation, if you worked your ass off on some task that you determined was important to you, for whatever reason, despite of the fact, that there are millions of people that are dying or suffering.

true indeed, also the golden rule would be good in effect. treat others the way you want to be treated. for this doesnt apply to just the dojo i see for being in college that going about the golden rule makes people accept and like you more. being friendly gets you places.

I like how you put it--it's not if you quit, but how. I'm not sure if I will earn my black belt--too many things pulling at my time and attention--but I do know I will support Alex as he works toward his and that if I do have to stop my own progress, I hope to do it the right way. As always, Mr. Norcross, thank you for the excellent food for thought!

My family and I are very happy that you, Mr. Norcross and Mr. Fisher choose this path and opened The Dojo in Mason. We are very fortunate to have dedicated full-time instructors teaching this amazing martial art. Thank you all.

Now let's bring on more ground fighting, HIT and free form.

Thank you so much for letting us have the opportunity to train with An-shu Mr. & Mrs. Hayes. It was an awesome experience, as every opportunity to learn from them is. As your student I can agree with you in that our teachers have an important part in their involvement in our lives, and I hope I never take any of that for granted.

I worry about the added nervous energy at graduations. I can see that even for Mr. Fisher it is hard not to put your hand down during a fall!
